Method of showing that a row has been edited and will be changed upon “Save” Excel is a bad example. You need to save the file to commit the changes. Also if you just try to close the file, it will tell you that you have unsaved changes, but it won't tell you where. |

Method of showing that a row has been edited and will be changed upon “Save” That's a really silly statement. Not because the technology is ready, it mean we always need to use it. In many cases Auto save is not an option. For example, what if the user accidentally erases the whole field, or is if the field is incomplete. Users should also have the ability to commit the changes when it is ready. |

Providing multi-language descriptons I would just use the form solution. For the grid, a link "translate" that opens the form would be enough. What if the dropdown can show items with a color icon next to it: English (green); French (yellow); Italian (green); Spanish (red); green is fully translated; yellow is not all fields were translated; red is nothing is yet translated. You can use the same color system next to each field. |
