Nested Creation Forms -1 We're not going to develop this app for you, let alone make it work on an iPhone. You've been given more than enough good answers on how to design your app, so, build it! |

Traffic light, no more shapes? Thanks for accepting. Although I did not obtain this info from any source, my common sense made these assumptions. |

Nested Creation Forms Do you understand what "Same difference" means?.. It's the same concept as Christians answer. Try running regedit.exe on your computer so you can see how it works. |

Nested Creation Forms Same difference, its the best design for what you need since you can have an infinite number of levels. However, it would if you could define what rules exist for your application. I'm sure there must be certain conditions which prohibit the addition of more levels, only allow certain values to be selected from a lookup table, etc. etc. |

Traffic light, no more shapes? In the United States, the U.S. Dept. of Transportation has uniform standards for traffic lights, and all other transportation devices, signs, etc. See (mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/pdfs/2009r1r2/mutcd09r1r2editionhl.pdf) |

Traffic light, no more shapes? No links, these are my own common sense opinions. |

Winforms - Placing database operations above the form When I converted my character-based UI app to a GUI, I kept my actions on top, and in the same order, because they were on top in the original app, but I took advantage of color-coded buttons. |

Is adding commas to numbers a cultural thing? +1, I'll rescue you because you've provided NLS, but also look at ISO. |

When should I consider a language-specific site? If your app is locale-dependent, then that's a separate issue. In my app, I also change date, currency and other GLS environment variables. They key is finding what things are common in both languages, then workout the differences. |

When should I consider a language-specific site? My design applies specifically to my target users, Pawnshops. For your app, you could provide a control on each page where users can toggle from one language to another. In my app, if a field in English does not apply in Spanish, I hide that field. I also designed the forms so as to provide sufficient room and sometimes used abbreviations if a caption, description, etc. in one language is longer in another. |
