What is an acceptable delay for the user when waiting for search results? In android, you get 5 second to respond. |

Best default sorting for saved search queries By its popularity. How many time user went looking for that particular query. |

Research on continuously animating list panel content I second that opinion. |

How can you show human element without showing pictures of people? @JimmyBreck-McKye Depends on implementation, Like a subtle "cushion" effect to a complicated effect on a button press. |

Is this rotating cube interface user-friendly? Great stress buster. Increases spatial perception, boosts short term memory and certainly helps in anger management. A timer showing elapsed time will be cherry on the cake. Must be converted to a video game with 42 distinct levels. |

Why do progress bars animate backwards? If you have a look at windows 7 progress bar, its animated forwards, a light glow hits right (incomplete) end of of green bar from left, and you will notice each time this happens it gives user a perception that progress bar filled up by a small step. This is incredibly useful in systems where people are used to see slow and frozen progress bars. (This is just an observation. No offence meant to anyone.) |
