Should radio buttons be pre-selected? @BenBrocka My point was to clarify that you want the form-state to be initially invalid, causing an error/validation message for a non-essential choice that is left unselected. |

Should radio buttons be pre-selected? @BenBrocka Are you saying that the default state of the form should be invalid in order to force the choice? Or that no-selection has some hidden meaning? |

How to make a progress-speed bar more understandable? @Virtlink No, differentiate. 1/s will be the unit of the slope, not the height of the graph which is usually the more intuitive measure. BlueRaja also addressed this in his comment to his question. |

How to make a progress-speed bar more understandable? @Virtlink The graph shows MB/s at a certain point in the progress. MB/s/% is the rate of change in the graph, or the slope. Similarly, if the graph was over time, then it would be MB/s at a certain point in time, and the slope would be MB/s/s. You will only see the metric in MB/s/% if you differentiate. |

What is the correct meaning of “slider”? Related: What is the difference between a slider a gallery and a carousel? |

What reason could Nintendo have had for putting the A and B buttons the wrong way round? I've always thought of them as Accelerate and Brake, which then rationalizes positioning them the same as the pedals in a car, but this only applies to racing games... |

How to best indicate navigation menu on mobile You're right to wonder about user misinterpretation, I've witnessed the confusion of first-time mobile users with this button. Positioning, experience, and wide-spread use can give users insight, but it is inherently unintuitive. |
