Can I access older versions of Google Search? "Although the back-end search algorithms do impact the user experience, I would like to concentrate on the front-end layout" Happy to get screenshots of results from different versions, but ideally consistent search terms. e.g. search for pizza. |

Would Breadcrumbs be effective if they incorporate Dropdowns? Yes, the Q Bart refers to is mine. For our application a breadcrumb with drop downs was not the best choice, mainly because of the complexity of what we were trying to show. In other cases it might be fine. Are Network Components good UX? agreed that my Q is too broad. peteorpeter answer has given me a lot to go away and research. I imagine ill be raising a more specific Q once I have some mockups. Thanks. |

Are Network Components good UX? Its that last bit I need info on. I want to see examples so that I can get a better understanding on the UX first hand. |

Hierarchical multi-state tree check box selection i like the concept, but your making the assumption that your users have geographic skills. |

Animation with a vertical Toolbar? Good point about memorability - also flagged by a dev. The WP approach has labels next to their icons. This would be wasted space for our app, so having the label at the top change makes sense. But then that forefits not having an icon in the Top Left corner, which we were originally planning (but can be swayed) as then the toolbar will have to stop short. |

Separate app for touch devices or one universal? dnbrv makes some good points for buildings multiple apps. Are there any reasons against this approach? I am thinking about keeping multiple apps up to date, vs one main app, that perhaps has different skins depending on the client device. Will HTML5 offer a more universal answer at all? Would like to see the other side of the coin. |
