Good point, the colour blind testing on this will be done by the users as it's an internal system used by a small group of users. I'll look in to the contrast etc, but I was definitely planning on an asterisk as well

IMO a mobile site should always make the content more likely to be required on-the-go easier to get to. If we all did this people wouldn't want to disable mobile sites at all!

Absolutely, but as I said I can't comment on legalities. I just know that it isn't uncommon for people to mis-use the flag feature

Oh dear, it looks like you're right, however this is a new thing for sure as I've had several UX discussions about this in the past. Its particularly bad on the ipad when on eBay because the X hovers eBay's own suggestion and precision is vital

Are you sure about that? Could be different iOS versions or something but pressing on the text of the word in the tooltip, on my devices, replaces the word being types with the estimated word
