comment Gesture based checkout for ecommerce app
Are you sure that swipe gesture would be as clear and fast as taping a button? Maybe you could provide some screenshots? I don't recognize the context of this solution but generally speaking I'm always trying to avoid unnecessary interaction especially if chosen solution could slow the user and could be possiblly a little vague.

comment Is switcher better pattern than radio buttons?
I've seen the last one example you posted in Google privacy q form it's quite good.

comment Is a Processing language a good tool for prototyping?
@bryandavidk Well I would like to explore some new ways to do things, in Axure sometimes it is harder to achieve some results especially much more interactive solutions than in live code e.g. making slider control with corresponding text field and making it both interacting with each other is much easier to prototype with jQuery than to figure out how to do this in Axure. Processing is also a quite good way to learn basic code concepts and play with animation.

My mistake I should name "Activate" button "Save" now it could mislead people.

I don't add this feature on the screens cause I don't want to make them too complicated but after switch on item will be able to set some parameters for it.

comment Is switcher better pattern than radio buttons?
Thanks, I've only two options - on/off, but I'm wondering if a little bit older users follow this switcher pattern or maybe they're much more familiar with the standard and more common radio buttons.

comment Explicit vs Implicit save. Differences between Android and iOS expectations
Well "x" icon could be perceived as a cancel buton or delete button, but I could bet that more people will see "x" icon a cancel button. The example which comes to mind regarding to you problem is a search text field, user providing some string see a x icon in the filed does the icon is deleting only the text field or reseting all the results system has found? Maybe you should user a big button "delete all" beneath the list of items not in the header, leave header with options back and done only?

comment Moving forward and backwards a week at a time
I would propose to use the same left-right pattern for the weeks selection. If you choose a day from a month calendar and there is a limited space to show all the months, months are usually presented as a horizontal line, you could show a two previous months or weeks on the horizontal line located higher than list of the days.

Imho using stars isn't appropriate, stars serves other purposes you should use stars only when you want a user to assess something e.g. quality of the phone call or some picture, etc. Stars as a indicator of progress will mislead user.

comment How to position page-level error message?
I was dealing the similar problem, finally I abandon tabs with a single "Save" button in the header because our usability studies detects that user who is clicking "Save" isn't sure if the changes he made will be save for all edited tabs or maybe only for one tab.

comment Android UX - When to use navigation drawer
In iOS you could swipe right on the screen and you will go back the previous screen, you get the same effect as you tap in hardware back button in Android phones.
