comment How can I keep up-to-date with the latest thinking about designing complex, rich applications?
Thanks. The issue I have is the systems and interactions I am designing for are quite a bit more complex than Google Finance for example. Also, as a comment, it is quite difficult to find good infographics among the piles of bad.

Thanks. Do you know of any good twitter feeds/users relevant to this?

comment Include user requirements in the persona document?
Are these requirements stated by the users? Or are they a list of 'requirements' that map to functions and features based on an interpretation of user needs?

General statements are always true....except when they aren't :) Less is more ... until its too much. The principle of simplicity is an excellent aim, however it might be more accurate to say "just enough" (to get the job done).

comment Are circular menu / button interfaces intuitive?
@BenBrocka Very true. Though I was making a distinction between a wholly touch interface and a partial one.

I've awarded the "Accepted answer" to you as I felt you gave the best answer by far. I appreciated the thought and links included. One thing I will add is though this could be used in a touch interface, the design was suggested for desktop use.

And why would this be the best? I'm sure it has its benefits but it might be nice to explain. Thanks.

+1 Probably the most coherent and well explained answer here.
