Speed vs Quality UI Pattern I quite like that idea. It gives equal weight to the two variables and reinforces the weighting. Compared to my solution it loses the explicit link with the exact quantity time. In my design I focused on that because I made the assumption that this may be the variable people would most be interested. This may be incorrect of course! |

Send wireframes before a demonstration? I think this is a great idea. Thanks for suggesting it. Will use it in future. |

Does the use of a WYSIWYG editor by itself improve the UX? So are none of the answers up to scratch? HTML/CSS are important because they effect the "look" of the post which is also creative in my book. In fact I would say that is the point of a WYSIWG editor! Otherwise you might as well just have a text file. |

Why don't users want to see adverts relating to products/services they might be interested in? As soon as you mention the word "conversation' you are talking about "Word of Mouth" marketing (WOM). WOM is not push marketing. Check out the WOMMA website to see the difference. WOM is all about building reputation (partly through conversation) and allowing the customer to come to you. |

Does the use of a WYSIWYG editor by itself improve the UX? Would really love you to pick a best answer on this question. For me this is the best answer I have written yet on UX stack exchange ... but you haven't rewarded any of us... cheers. |

Number of lead designers on a single UX project Do you really think Fred Brooks would describe himself as a designer? His Design of Design book is subtitled "Essays from a Computer Scientist" (: |

Number of lead designers on a single UX project Compromise is an "Art" (as stated)... there are bad ones and good ones. I agree with you on the importance of user advocacy ... in fact I'll add that to my answer (: Not sure many people would have described humbleness as being one of Steve's many wonderful characteristics though, but I never had the pleasure to meet the fellow. He is one of my all time hero's nevertheless. |

Number of lead designers on a single UX project I guess there are also designers that don't know that too (: |

Number of lead designers on a single UX project Am going to download the "Design of Design" to my kindle today (: However I have seen Fred Brooks talk... he is not a "designer" in the traditional sense... he is a hugely practical and sensitive all round leader/scientist/engineer. I guess my problem with the concept of a "lead" designer is the word designer. Architect would be better... someone with a plurality of perspectives. |

Number of lead designers on a single UX project My point is that there is never actual an "ideal" design. Design is a choice of one from many many possible alternatives. As soon as you see design like this then you no longer have to have a "lead". Not saying you don't have to have leadership ... just that it doesn't have to be a "design" lead. |

Number of lead designers on a single UX project I think this question is upside down. I think of design as a collaborative process between a multi-disciplinary team. The concept of "lead designer" reeks of prima donna's and seems a little old hat to me. |

Number of lead designers on a single UX project Fred Brooks "the mythical man/month" is also anti large teams (says they are rarely effectiv). |

How do you present tags and other non-hierarchical meta data as a delivery for your client? Great question by the way Tony... hope you got to approve the edits... I am not entirely sure of the process but anything you don't like you can edit back (: |

Do you need a search button with a search box? Chris.. i found this answer fairly unreadable. But I think you have some good points in there. Would you consider editing it into plain english... I did start to have a go but then was worried that I was changing your meaning. Cheers. |

Do you need a search button with a search box? I disagree Matthew... clearly Google disagree with you too as they have done the tests (see first answer). |
