Which color scheme is used on phpjs.org website in code textareas? I recommend reading the FAQ questions "What makes a good question?" and "What kind of questions should I not ask here?" |

Is it useful keeping “foveal vision” in mind when arranging content? The language of the question is English. The quotation marks were French. Converted to English http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guillemets |

friendly format for Phone Numbers @DKOATED In my experience, it works fine with German numbers, but a bug may have been recently introduced. You should work with the libphonenumber team to get that figured out. code.google.com/p/libphonenumber/issues/list |

Should we risk using colors other than blue in Web apps? I think I agree that successful sites are focused on results, though your statistic (90%) is unsubstantiated. But, I don't agree that sites pick blue because links are blue. Until now, I've never once heard a designer make that claim. However, I've been in meetings with designers and executives that lasted hours arguing about color theory. |

Should we risk using colors other than blue in Web apps? "Drinking from the same kool-aid"? That phrase usually means someone is deluded or irrational. There is a very large amount of academic and scientific research in color psychology. Most of the conclusions are very rational and have undergone critical scrutiny. I don't think it's accurate to say "We're all drinking the same kool-aid..." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drinking_the_Kool-Aid |

How to not make my website have a “1990's” look I think you might find some luck submitting this question to graphicdesign.stackexchange.com instead of here. |

Why do webpages scroll vertically instead of horizontally? Books (side-by-side print) arrive late in printed/written text. Most text went on scrolls that rolled-up. The text began at the top and continued to the bottom. You might consider that the Web "returned" to an old style instead of "break this ancient convention..." |

Contrast on footer and other elements @BenBrocka Yes, I wasn't sure how much detail to get into. It seemed like the OP didn't have a lot of original research and putting him on the path of contrast seemed sufficient. |

Why is Facebook using two Form styles in their homepage? I think your browser and platform have some influence on the visuals. Are the black controls part of your system's visual theme? |
