I try my best to share the knowledge that I have come across with others to keep the knowledge cycle goin. I love the art of web design. Semantic, easy to use, awesome websites is what really gets me excited. I love HTML(5), CSS(3) Javascript (the good parts) and Wordpress with a strong focus on usability. I also love to read, bike, swim, and draw.

comment How do color themes affect user perception?
@JonW Ok that makes sense, I will try to keep my questions more specific.

Actually the questions wasn't "Do color schemes affect user perception?". It was more "How do they affect user perception?". But thank you @JeffH I will look those over.

comment For a web-app, how to differentiate “cluster” marker icons from normal icons on a map?
From what I've found people respond very well to color. Have you considered color coding the icons and then using a legend for the user to reference? For example for a washroom you could make the icon a blue washing machine.

comment Dropdown navigation menus - should top menu option link to content?
I think a screen shot of what is going on would help. Personally I am not getting the difference between the "Pages" and "Page categories" and the "Create new page" and "Create new page category".

comment What method can be used to inform the user of different levels of assistance that a service offers?
I really like this idea, but would it flow better if the policy options were stacked vertically and the features ran horizontal?

comment Hierarchical structure design and usability
Some screen shots would be helpful to understand your dilemma because I don't really want to have to sign up. This would also be something good to implement on the site itself so a user can understand what they are signing up for. There are also some other usability problems but I wont get into that since it isn't part of the question.
