I agree there will always be some fractioning on that side, but an autocomplete would at least allow aggregating "janitor", "janitorial" and "janitor,", which would otherwise be three separate entries, for example.

I agree that it won't necessarily be easy to show a realistic estimation of progress server-side, but giving a best estimation of the remaining percentage will go a long way.
