Best uses of ? (help) and i (information) icons in UI He does however state the standard colours and symbols associated with the most common message types, why are references needed when it's a standard that is so global. |

Validation message review about using ! and using short, direct messages @SarawutPositwinyu I don't put the ending punctuation on messages like this anymore, it isn't really required. Which ever direction you choose, ensure it's consistent throughout the application. 'Enter the same password' is pretty good, as long as it's clear and brief. |

how to make (and break) inheritance obvious I think that tri-state example is broken (Chrome), I'm checking items and they are checking completely unrelated items from higher levels. Broken or I'm not understanding how to use it, which is a bad sign. |

What is the best way to display 15-50 choices when most users will select all and not know meanings, but some users will want specific choices? I think the drop-down just adds confusion seeing as there is an "All" link at the bottom of the form. |

Are the flags of any countries controversial to use in a UI? There are probably a bunch of flags that cause sensitivity. There was a "Flags of Australia" live wallpaper for Android promoted on Australia day and it lacked the Aboriginal flag, which was completely unacceptable and got a lot of negative feedback because of that. |
