comment Submit button on top of the long form
Someday I will found the example of such form and I will post the link to that form here :) About "can't just press the submit button" - Submit button could be disabled if not all required inputs are filled and the form is not ready to be submitted.

@BenBrocka Similar approach is used for 2-level menu on Bootstrap site - twitter.github.com/bootstrap/base-css.html (try to scroll the page) and imho it would be useful for forms too as you described.

@BenBrocka +1 Great solution. IMHO fixed block with "Submit" button solves all the problems with long forms.

comment Is it good practice to warn users that capslock is enabled when entering passwords?
thanks for your remark. I updated my answer. I hope now my point about passwords is more clear and I answered the question better.

comment Why isn't the “remember me” checkbox in login forms enabled by default?
@JW. you are very unlucky guy. But even if I would be on your place I would still check "rem me" on my own devices. After losing some device, I would just change my passwords on main sites which I am using and that's it. IMHO it is easier to change passwords once than enter it each time. p.s. imho alarm system or hidden cameras could help you in future.

@JW. "I never choose 'remember me' on 100% of the sites that I use." - so, as I understand, you choose "rem me" on about 80% of sites you are visit. So, what is better: to check "rem me" in 80% or uncheck "rem me" on 20%? P.S. I agree, than on bank sites or paypal-like sites "rem me" should be disabled by default.

comment Ratings: 3 stars vs 5 stars. Why 5?
@DannyVarod Check out the IMDB rating for film Dark Knight. There are 2,5% who voted with "1". How could 10-based rating solve such speculation?
