Best layout for a custom calculator (for mobile web browser) @VitalyMijiritsky Duly noted; but where's the fun in paying $4.99 for something when you can spend 200+ hours development time creating your own thing? |

Best layout for a custom calculator (for mobile web browser) @VitalyMijiritsky currently, it must be a web app so based on bullet 1, I cannot accept. I did originally tag this question with mobile-web and jquery mobile, but I should have specified it in OP too. I'm just not there yet to code for those devices. Plus, a single-code base is all I can handle at this point anyway. Plus, it's just for me right now...etc. etc. I do like your suggestions and point-of-view; thanks for taking the time to answer. |

Should links that bring up a jQuery UI dialog be uniform or different than site hyperlinks? @AlexFeinman No one says it has to be modal :) I picked modal for two reasons: 1. Modal forms are there only to provide a little more explanation about the term hyperlinked on the main page. So, they click the link, they read, they click 'ok' and they are back 2. There's no benefit to move the dialog around the page or compare to other popup dialogs. Restrictive? yes, but, IMHO, simpler to navigate. I am open for arguments though. |
