New search pattern for eCommerce website, will it work? Relationship category is again divided into three parts i.e male, female, couple.( it's like 3 tabs and currently male tab is selected). So i m assuming there wont be more than 15 max relation for 'his'. 'Select the relationship' and 'Select the occassion' are label, surly i'll remove border and make them looks like labels. |

New search pattern for eCommerce website, will it work? nice idea of adding number beside the category. Will evaluate it with design. |

Best order of heuristics for filtering gift suggestion search results I like the 2nd point but should not user get accurate data while searching rather than lots of options. Freedom, some time can create confusion while choosing the right option |

How could one prevent drunk users from using a mobile application? I might be wrong but I have noticed most of the drunk people prefer direct call rather than text; if they want to talk to their GFs/BFs and do text to inform their parents. Lets assume a case, you are drunk and want to call any friend or family member to pick you up from bar or from roadside. How do you communicate with them if it is disable for you. My personal thought is we need to check why we want to stop drunker to use the app and drive the solution around it. |

How could one prevent drunk users from using a mobile application? I don't drink but my friend does. What if we spend considerable time in a bar say 1-2 hrs. Should I also get notifications ? |

Best way to add data in empty fields lemoisela, had discussed it with my friend, his thoughts are different. He is bit relucdent about using red color as red bg refer to error and he want to add some textual description infornt of every empty fields[I desagree with him completly:D] Also we cant opt for your second solution like adding empty fields at the end becaue of some business cases. Btw thanks |

Best way to add data in empty fields My thought was as we cant show (N/A) or other textual description there. I should show some hint on empty fields but i agree on below commets; we can show red or empty input fields initially. But my original question is still unanswered |

Why is a manual transmission so complicated? obviously i don't you to design a system here:D but i want to know why designer didn't think of the problem.(I know there are plenty of application badly designed) or what could be simple less expensive design except Automatic transmissions. |

Why is a manual transmission so complicated? I think user doesn't care about technical implementation or what physics rules applied under the hood.I agree automatic transmission would cost drastically but ain't designing and engineering there to solve problems in easy and cost effective way. |

Why is a manual transmission so complicated? yes but that doesn't come in every car. You would need good amount of money to buy these type of machines. |

Redirecting to mobile site: ask or just redirect? I want to understand why don't you create complete mobile (or with enough content )copy of your desktop site and let user access it when they are using it through mobile. |

Should I show a grids with empty search results? Hi Victor,i defer with the solution you offered as showing unnecessary records also put burden on user's shoulder. Why you want user to scroll, filter, search (3 actions) when he can simply get results through search(1 action)? and i agree with the blue color info msg though. |

Should I show a grids with empty search results? may i ask why you are in favor of not showing data? as your previous comment is conflicting with your recent one? |

Should I show a grids with empty search results? i think categories would be 5-6 But i agree with you that we must show some error message that data is not available for that category but my Product manager doesn't want to implement it.. this is what he said :our user is very trained user(applcation would be used in banks where user will use application whole day) so there is no point to show error msg :P |

Best method to show two different data type Juan, don't u think the option u have suggested is consuming lots of vertical space. and as i said the list will be long means there could be 10-15 inputs fields & the goal of the page is to show more relevant data (number of records) in the page. |

Best method to show two different data type Thanks but here requirement is a bit different as we are filtering data as much as we can and if u have noticed we have organisation type where we would have multiple address fields also:D |

Best method to show two different data type Thanks for pointing out "Full Name", will change it surly. there are lots of input fields and showing them vertically means lots of space consumption; showing them horizonatly means i m using only 50px space vertically:) and more space for result data grid. |
