comment Mobile - are there heatmaps that show where user looks at on a mobile device (like F Pattern) ?
Thanks for bringing up focal points like people's faces and calls to action!

I will come back and post the link to the app and UI once it is done :) I implemented your mockup, and it seems that the users are very quick to figure out how to use the bottom buttons.

Great design, and good points about the negative white space. The collapsible side panel is a nice touch :) I will see how to implement something like that for the next iteration of design

This is an interesting idea to have a scrollable menu on the bottom!

The trackpad is primarily to control a web browser running on a smart TV - browsing the web is a horrible experience if all you have is 2D navigation without keyboard

comment Mobile interface - how to non-obtrusively ask user to do an optional action (alert equivalent)?
From that article it does sound like embedding an "optional" element into a table view or other collection of elements is the correct non-obtrusive way to ask for an optional action (at least for now)

How would those two computers look like? I envisioned the old windows 95 icon, which is probably obsolete. Would those be two flat panel monitors?

Awesome, I think the arrow can also be animated!

The user base is really broad, this is a part of a hospital interactive system, so anyone can potentially use it.
