I dabble with the way information is presented to the user. This includes building and designing user interfaces, graphical user interfaces, strategic product design, information design, communication design, data and info visualizations.

Matt, I've taken your suggestion on caching real-time weighting and the phrase at the bottom of your post. Thank you.

I've got the mechanism programmed. I've scheduled a user testing on the prototype (we've got 7 people from computer pros to people who are going to touch a keyboard for the first time). The analytic data is going to determine the sigma. I'll post the results and update the thread when its done.

You may have to stick to either "vertical" or "horizontal". From personal experience, a lot of people are comfortable with vertical layouts.

That can be solved, I can put pen to paper and sketch it up for you. Question: Will this run on a mobile?

The idea is, if I see it and feel like editing it - I should be able it to edit it right there. Don't force the admin user to navigate to another page / scroll up and down.

Best keep it in the form, but on the admin/configuration page. This way they'd know what they are editing. Its easier to coordinate.

You are being interviewed for an UX post in said scenario? convince them to see the truth in what you say - educate them beyond their bullet list. No one's going to refuse an insightful candidate. I personally wouldn't. Then again I don't send a half-knowledge person to conduct an interview and definitely not stick to some bullet list for an answer.
