How should times be aligned in a column Thanks for the answer DA01, it's actually WPF rather than Web, so there's probably an option to do that. Also, as stated in the question the number of decimal places is constant between records. It's interesting that I'm getting varying answers to this question :) |

How should times be aligned in a column @DA01 thanks, although my font isn't monospaced. The page has rendered the example like that. I'll update my question to clarify |

How should times be aligned in a column @sree, that's not at all what I'm asking. I'm asking if there's a convention for aligning time data types. I'm not using a spreadsheet, it's a piece of software I'm working on |

How should times be aligned in a column @jcmeloni, Sure, I've added a rough table but that should illustrate the context. if this is a factor on your decision note that UX-SE renders to a fixed width font, which mine isn't. |

How should times be aligned in a column @Bart, I'm also not convinced the receipt comparison is a fair one. They usually use a fixed width font and always display to 2 decimal places. So aligning on the decimal IS aligning to the right |

How should times be aligned in a column @Bart, Spreadsheets. They don't align on the decimal point. I understand the argument for doing so, indeed this is answered here : ux.stackexchange.com/questions/13795/…, but this almost never happens when displaying decimals in a 'cell' |
