please provide a link to where they claim questions with only one 'correct' answer; I honestly wouldn't even know what that means other than 1+1=2; in general, there could be a best answer but not only one 'correct' answer

@MattObee thx - I had seen the second one; the argument of the more the better seems a bit difficult. The key issue with FB login as addressed further down is the giving of permissions and it seems like more mobile apps are moving to an auth only model with FB (whereas previously it was also used to post to FB). The Gigya data, if real, is interesting. A 500% higher login rate via FB over Twitter or Gmail. I would assume that that is given the three options. Makes a pretty strong case for a FB only to start with.

@JonW not trying to argue but where do I ask "What's your favroite?" - on the contrary to what you're saying, I don't think every answer would be equally valid (which seems like a silly statement to start with). I don't post here that much but people seem to not really like questions.

please point me to where SE says there is only one answer. If I look at this, stackoverflow.com/help/dont-ask it seems to describe the question I'm asking. Again, I'll repeat myself. You probably don't have the experience necessary to answer the question but that just means it's probably not relevant to you which is fine. I think you're confusing experience with subjectivity which is common.

I specifically asked for experience of other people with a similar type project. I have done FB / email before and interested in specific experience with FB only. Maybe you don't have experience and, hence, it's not relevant to you. That doesn't mean that it isn't a valid question. Obviously, we've had internal discussions and I don't find them that convincing.

comment difference between liking and following something
thx, that seems accurate. Liking / Following clearly have a context wrapper that determines that follow-up activity.

so that's the key issue. facebook seems to make liking something get updates from it but a lot of people don't like it. However, facebook is a bit of an anomoly due to its size. thx

@DannyVarod if you liked something, would you expect to be alerted about updates to it?
