Does it matter whether I use a Mac or a PC for a website's usability test?
I'm working on a large consumer website: the sort of websites most consumers would have used and done online shopping with, at home. I do agree that i should try to re-create the user experience as closely as possible. So I should find out what my sort of computer and browser my users generally use. The site works roughly the same on a mac and PC and on common browsers, but there are subtle differences. also, some users may be intimidated by a Mac if they've never used one before. I'm going to do pilots before the actual tests too.
