Managing a list of tasks for students @dnbrv Correct - which is part of what the OP is looking for, advice/direction because "I'm having trouble giving a rational reason as to why it's not ideal because I can't find any related research". |

Is adding commas to numbers a cultural thing? "Cultural" arguably. Countries tend to adopt guidelines for usage when they adopt their official numerical system. For example, when decimilization was adopted by Australia in the late 60s, the government published ways in which numbers would be written. The guides included notes regarding preferences from various institutions (eg. banks). In effect, they were publishing a style guide for the country. Many other modern states have done similar. FYI. |

Should field labels be nouns or verbs? Assaf, I think natural language - such as your example - has it's place, but I was more concerned with the concept of noun vs. verb as other posters have addressed. |

Should people be able to change their usernames? You're right, user6. Admins should always have a method to get in there and make the change. |

Should field labels be nouns or verbs? There's a lot to be said about determining "the best option", but I take your point. |

Should field labels be nouns or verbs? Yeah - I've not thought about it before. You are both right - I'm denying points which isn't fair. I'll reform, I promise. |

Should field labels be nouns or verbs? Agreed. I think so long as there is a clear argument/justification then it makes the decision easier. Thanks. |

Should field labels be nouns or verbs? Thanks for the suggestion, JohnGB. I am aware of the concept of acceptance, but I find that multiple responses tend to contain important information. Now if you gave me the option to accept multiple answers... :) |
