Is the “Help” feature really helping? @sree You're welcome. If that wasn't long enough, I wrote a blog post with even more info (including statistics) blog.getconvey.com/is-help-really-helping |

Is the “Help” feature really helping? I often find answers much faster through search engines too. But I think there are two (huge) downsides to using this as a support strategy 1) the product has to have a very large or very passionate user base producing content for the search engines to index, and keeping the best, most-up-to-date content at the top. Most products won't meet this criteria 2) Some users won't think to use this approach, especially if they're not technologically sophisticated |

Which is the better user experience for a web app: an integrated support ticket module or a separate app? Added a tag for help, since the OP mentioned knowledge base software |

Is it good to create a separate screen for change password? I think disabling the section mitigates the user confusion mentioned by the other answers. However, it does force the user to make an extra decision that moving 'change password' into a separate page avoids. |

Best practices for online help Sounds like you put a lot of thought into the help for you software. Did you use a tool to help create the embedded help? |
