comment Reordering Checkbox List on selection
What happens if you un-check the box? What happens when more than one checkbox is checked?

Thank you so much for this response; it's really helpful, and I think I will use your mockup as a starting point. Again, many thanks!

comment Opting In/Out Error Handling in Mobile
If you're going to show the error message, IMO the halo effect can be subdued with very specific error messages. Example: there was an error; please try later vs. there was an error saving your marketing preferences. It may be a problem with our server; please try later. Even if I get that error, I feel that I still trust the system and ultimately the company because they took the time to craft very specific and informative error messages.

comment How should you use a survey to find out the most useful or important pages on a website?
What's the end goal of this survey? Are you re-designing? Getting ready for a new marketing push? Are you looking to trim back your content? Also - Don't forget about search terms in your analytics. That can provide great insight in to what people need/look for on your site.

comment Do users sign up to newsletters on homepages?
Personally I hate the lightbox method; any website that does that to me make me automatically close the box without even looking or leave the site. Good to hear it works for you.

comment Vertical alignment of credit card date fields
Horizontally grouped mo/year fields are how they display on the physical credit card as well, so I'd say that reinforces the logical grouping in the second example you give.
