comment How do you decide which links should be placed in the primary menu?
Thanks. Grouping the content is one thing, but deciding what content should be placed in the primary navigation is another and that was really my question... For example Apple has focused entirely on their product categories in their primary navigation while Dell has focused on their different target groups.

comment How can I display forum paging on a mobile UI in a more pleasant way?
How about only Next and Prev and convert the pagination into a drop down list? Its possible with a little amount of javascript.

comment What do you include in a site inventory report?
Yes, it might. I'm not looking for a standardised way. I want to hear about how you use it in case I've missed out something.

comment What do you include in a site inventory report?
- All right. I've seen reports that list everything from meta tags to internal and external page links inside blog posts, related content lists or links to downloadable pdfs etc etc. The reports have been visualised in flow charts, mindmaps, lists etc. It really looks impressive but I curious to know why and when to use what.

comment Using color in wireframes…is this a “no no”?
I only use color for links. Everything else is grayscaled.

comment Who are the most common visitor types to a web site?
Yes, I understand your point. I asked the question to get an broad overview of the different visitors. It is of course necessary to dig deeper into the visitors behaviors and demographics. I feel that it is a good starting point when doing a workshop with the clients so that they could understand that they could communicate with more visitor types than just their customers.

comment How to create a useful 500 internal server error page
You mean it's rude? :) I believe the best way is to automatically send an email to the webmaster with the details (as I asked about here - webmasters.stackexchange.com/q/24386/12031)

comment How does use in bright sunlight affect how a web site should be designed?
@AaronMcIver - What I mean is that average users seldom take the time to customize their experience.

@Daniel Newman This is a mobile web site so I have no control of the hardware.

When a software needs my attention in both MacOs and Windows the system uses animation to get my attention and Im totally fine with it. But if a web site uses animation for a large portion of a page our banner blindness kicks in and we dont look at it. If the web site is more entertainment oriented animation could enhance the experience but if the visitor needs to solve problems the site should be more subtle.

Aaron - Thanks for the tip but I dont think it should be necessary to let the users adjust the parameters because they will not have the interest. I'm looking for a solution that is the most optimal for the majority of them.

Good points from the two of you. I still think there will be more confusion with no label and only an icon.

comment What is the best section divider for text emails?
Well isnt it up to you to decide if you need to add all the extra fancy stuff? Why not take the opportunity to make the system message look a little friendly? Even if it is generated you could for example add a nice and friendly headline or maybe a small, smiley face to build trust and strenghten the relationship with your custumer? Apples Siri is all system generated but people think shes kinda funny. It could still be to the point.

But why was this answer down voted?? I'm the only one here who actually presented numbers instead of opinions.
