comment Is “magic” an appropriate label for a sorting option?
Agree. It also gives the experience a little human touch.

No, this is not a duplicate. This question is only about the best placement of a Change language button. Not how it should behave.

comment Breadcrumbs: ok to place at the top of a page?
Using breadcrumbs is absolutely not hurting your seo-efforts. On the contrary - Google insist you to use bread crumbs because it makes it easier for the seachbots to understand the site hierarchy. There were a time when Google only followed 100 links on a web page but not nowadays. And dont put the breadcrumbs in the trash because a lot of people is using them to understand where they are. They might not click on them but that is another story. It's even more important now because of how the new versions of MS Windows is emphasizing them in Explorer windows.

comment Whats a better user experience: A scrollable table or a full size table allowing the browser window to do scrolling?
In general people have a lot of trouble even notice that there is a scrollbar inside the dokument. I've implemented this twice (yeah, how stupid I know) with poor results. Youtube used to have a list of related videos inside a scrollable div but when they removed the scrollbar and revealed all the videos in full glory the clickfrequence went up.

comment Fixed-position header and menu on a web page — is that okay?
Agree. Twitter and Facebook uses fixed headers but in their case its good because I can quickly access things such as the New Tweet button. If you only use it for global navigation there's little point adding it. If you are worried about visitors with small monitors it's possible to turn of the fixed header feature.

comment How to build a site targetet to well paid male company managers
Ok. Sorry for being too vague. I wanted to isolate those characteristics to see what experiences you had with that target group. For example there are significant differences between how men (in general) and women (in general) responds to and prefer web design. Or people with a bigger income prefer shop online because of convenience while people with smaller income highlights reasons such as saving money. Those findings are important for me to take a decision on the design, argument and structure.

comment Need for search button next to a search box on a mobile web site
It looks like the safest way it to use a search button then even if it uses precious screen real estate. And as @AaronMcIver mentions (I think so anyway..) the enter key next to the ui keyboard doesn't feel the most natural to use.
