comment Should social sharing buttons be at the top or bottom of an article?
Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean. Could you rephrase your question?

IMHO - the main problem with the hammer and the wrench is that when you need to use the icon in a smaller size (such as 8*8 or 16*16 pixels) they become pretty unrecognizeable. Therefore it's better to only use the cog wheel or the wrench.

Yes, that is a correct interpretation of "unfancy multi-level horizontal menu" :)

Yes mega menus is a neat way to handle it. But in this case I'm forced to use a unfancy multi level horisontal menu.

comment Can a salesperson be a good UX designer, as compared to who are not?
Well, my experience with interviewing sales staff is that they are generally good at thinking what type of basic content that should be on the web site, since they have a lot of contact with the customers.

comment How to work with visual designers who treat wireframes as literal graphic suggestions?
You're lucky to be working with designers that tread your wireframes as blue prints. The other way around is what driving me crazy. Some of the designers I have worked with are "creative" enough to come up with implementing menus and interactive elements that don't even even remotely resembles what I done. :)

- Doesn't matter if it was a technical question, we'll answer it from a UX perspective anyway. Deal with it! ;)
