User Experience Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for user experience researchers and experts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question. If not please point me to the right site.

I was asked to create a interactive yearbook for students at a polytechnic and I am not sure what software or how to go about achieving this. Here is the information i was provided with.

I was given several MS Access database (each db is departmental containing the students name, email address, student ID number etc), I was also given student photos in bmp format. The photos are named using the student ID number.

The final product will be an autorun DVD, that will show the students by department or can be searchable if need be.

I was thinking about using Adobe Director to design the interface but I am not sure if Director can handle MS Access database or be able to link the student photos correctly using the appropriate field from MS Access.

Please help!

It's not suited to ux.stackexchsnge no. I will see if there are any other site mods that would accept it but it's unlikely as it's quite a broad question. Basically you're asking "what software should I use for this project" which is going to be a bit subjective. – JonW Mar 10 at 8:44
