User Experience Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for user experience researchers and experts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I know that some clients and employers have restrictions about putting their work in your portfolio website. And I know that internal UX and UI work (wireframes, interaction flow, etc) is typically for company use only (related).

Are there restrictions for putting screenshots of intranet work in your portfolio?

This isn't really a UX question (though you might want to try workplace). However WRT your question the answer would vary from employer to employer so I would check with them to a definitive answer. – Charles Wesley Mar 5 at 21:46
This isn't a UX question. You are technically allowed to show your work unless you sign an NDA. Though, I would always ask your client/employer for their permission first. – Chris N. Mar 5 at 22:02
Thanks! I'll remove question. – Danger14 Mar 5 at 22:28

I would tend to think everything you do, as long as it can be disclosed, can appear in your portfolio.

If you are not sure about the privacy of the projects you want to show, then the best thing you can do is ask your company directly. I'd also discuss with them the points mentioned in the question you linked.
