Not knowing if the audience has played the game, but assuming they have some interest in it. Is it better to talk about 'the player', or simply 'you'?

Examples:

"at this point the game might get boring, as the player can easily run through the remaining levels"

"getting this upgrade will make you a lot more powerful"

Suppose that you make presentation for large audience and not speak with somebody personally:

"at this point the game might get boring, as it can be easily run through the remaining levels"

"getting this upgrade will allow to play with a lot more power"
