I need to develop a demo application (not a website) with PrimeFaces to see if the screen readers can read a screen made in it. Can anyone give me any tips? Is it possible? Is there any guide?

Thanks, Luciano

My experience as a front-end dev with several JSF based frameworks is that they all can be customized to use fully modern HTML syntax and create semantic and accessible markup, but out-of-the-box you might run into a lot of headaches especially if your developers are more drag-n-drop types that don't fully understand front-end markup and scripting.

So, I guess my 'tip' would be to make sure you have an experienced front-end dev on the team who is able to work with your developers to customize the JSF tags as needed to that they produce valid and appropriate markup.

(Personally, I'd suggest forgoing any framework that directly creates the markup from server-side components, but I realize that's not always practical.)
