I have a purge operation which clears some resources in an application. Currently the icon is a broom but I am not sure about it.

Is there any standard conventions for a purge icon? Or popular software that people will be familiar with that has a standard icon for the 'purge' operation?

Hi bonomo, unfortunately as per the faq asking for icon suggestions is not a good fit for this website. – Vitaly Mijiritsky Dec 29 '12 at 11:47
I am sorry I didnt know that. – bonomo Dec 29 '12 at 14:19
I've edited the question to be less about ideas, more about standards. So I think it is more fitting. Just waiting for someone to approve the edit. – slawrence10 Dec 29 '12 at 14:23
I was thinking that a fire icon could be appropriate? If you put it on fire it's gone for good definitively? For example, Font Elusive's "icon-fire", here. — I was also looking for some purge icon, and searched for "purge icon" but found nothing "standard" (not at fontello.com anyway). – KajMagnus Apr 14 at 15:26
