I'm looking for icons which could be used to visually represent the various datatypes of SQL Server (for a nice db-doco). Is such a thing out there somewhere (commercially or public domain) or would I need to design these myself?

Many different type of database icons come to mind, but it will certainly be difficult to communicate different types of database systems with icons. – kontur Dec 12 '12 at 14:58
Hi MBaas, and welcome to the forum. You can see in the faq that questions regarding "what would be a good icon for X?" questions are not fit for this forum. – AndroidHustle Dec 12 '12 at 14:59
Ok, apologies for asking at the wrong place. – MBaas Dec 12 '12 at 15:22
I actually think its a perfectly normal UX question. A great icon library for a low cost is the V-Collection from Also, check smashing magazine, they have great icon collections - do a search on their site. – Glen Lipka Dec 12 '12 at 19:37
