User Experience Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for user experience researchers and experts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Does anyone know where I can find a spinner or ajax loader like the one Sharepoint uses? That is by far the most awesome loader I have seen. If anyone knows of an even more awesome loader then please let me know.

What is wrong with this question? This is a UX forum? –  John Doe Jul 19 '12 at 11:36
It's not a User Experience problem. –  ChrisF Jul 19 '12 at 11:44
I would argue it is: all the spinners that I have seen are crap wispy little things compared to the one SharePoint uses, thus creating an inferior user experience. That is why I want something like the SharePoint one. –  John Doe Jul 19 '12 at 11:45
This is a graphic design problem, not a user experience problem. –  dhmholley Jul 19 '12 at 11:57

As I previously mentioned this isn't really a UX question. But seeing that this question wont get closed and also since I'm such a nice guy and happen to be sitting on the answer I'll help you. =)

I believe this is what you're after:

Yes!!! But a large, high quality one like these: mytreedb.com/view_blog/…. –  John Doe Jul 19 '12 at 11:54
wow, you're hard to please aren't you... =) in that case download a free GIF editor like Ulead GIF Animator 5, it has a free trial with enough time to create a range of different spinners. –  AndroidHustle Jul 19 '12 at 12:01
Thanks, that is a good idea. –  John Doe Jul 19 '12 at 12:03

I have no idea what the SharePoint loader looks like, but there is always this to make your own - http://ajaxload.info/

I have seen this site, and whilst impressive, it does not create spinners that rival the SharePoint one. –  John Doe Jul 19 '12 at 11:41
Can you add an image of the SharePoint one? Some people (like me!) don't know what the SharePoint one looks like. –  Rob Quincey Jul 19 '12 at 11:50
I will get you one shortly. –  John Doe Jul 19 '12 at 11:52
I know the question is closed, but here's another one for people who come across this question in the future. This site contains even more loading gifs: preloaders.net/en/circular –  F21 Jul 19 '12 at 12:13
I tried to get on that to see if it was any good but our proxy in the office blocked it :( –  Rob Quincey Jul 19 '12 at 12:22
