I want to conduct some remote usability studies (the people I need to test are in a different country and traveling is not possible at the moment) and I'm having trouble finding screen sharing software that I can use.
Here are my requirements:
Easy screen-sharing of users' screens: Many of my users are not experienced with computers so the easiest possible set up on their end is desired.
Cross-platform: I work on a Mac but my testers use both Windows and Mac, so cross platform compatibility is a must.
Low cost: I would prefer a one-time fee, but it seems that all screen-sharing products want to charge monthly or annually. I am willing to compromise on this if there are no alternatives.
Adobe's ConnectNow appears to do what I want but there's no way to install it on Mac OS Lion, which I'm running.
I also attempted to use Livelook but it also prompts to "get the latest version of Java," although I already have installed the latest version of Java on Lion.
