User Experience Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for user experience researchers and experts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

i am running a blogger's blog. , i would like to create a custom blog from scratch. Is it a good idea to create it from scratch or use existing frameworks to create a blog?

UPDATE: what am trying to ask here is that, what is the most effective way to popularize the blog in terms of search engine ranking, usability?. can custom blog be as effective in giving results (being popular) as that of blogger or wordpress? ofcourse it depends on content but, that apart..

This is not the site for a question like this. In fact this question is too broad for any Stack Exchange site. – ChrisF Mar 15 '12 at 9:18
Hi @sree Chris is correct, this is too broad a question for us to be able to give you a specific answer. Our FAQ about good/bad questions should help to cater this question to a more specific purpose. From the 'What not to ask' section: "Your questions should be reasonably scoped. If you can imagine an entire book that answers your question, you’re asking too much". – JonW Mar 15 '12 at 9:23
@ChrisF i am looking only for guidance. I cannot expect someone to write code on creating blog here :). As said any links ,suggestion, tips etc will be useful for me to get started... tnx :) – sree Mar 15 '12 at 9:24
The question has been closed to give you an opportunity to amend the wording and check over the scope of the UX.StackExchange site so you can rephrase the question in a better format. Once you've done so then we will be able to re-open it for you. – JonW Mar 15 '12 at 9:25
