User Experience Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for user experience researchers and experts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'd many times checked my gmail account and found it shows `Lots of space

Over 7665.246837 megabytes (and counting) of free storage.` which is continuously increasing.

Can anybody tell me how this happens? Every second it is increasing gradually and for all the user.

I am not sure this is an UX question ,you might be better off asking this in the web applications stackexchange – Mervin Jan 4 '12 at 4:00

Google keeps adding new servers, increasing its storage capacity, and distributing it between users. But the message is probably only "statistically true", it doesn't really physically happen every second for every user. In any case - I'm afraid that this question is not a good fit for this forum, because it doesn't have anything to do with user experience research or design.
