What kind of methodology/recommended patterns are well suited for streaming of audio and video in web browsers?

You'll have to be more specific: Do you mean how should the interface be presented, how should the controls for the streaming content work, or what? Streaming simply refers to how the content is downloaded. – Ben Brocka Aug 31 '11 at 18:25
I wanted to know different technology that supports atleast 1K users at a time. Ex. websockets or IS socket.io framework better suited for video streaming. – user7044 Sep 1 '11 at 2:35

Your comment appears to be asking about specific technology platforms--not UX practices per se. I'd ask this on StackOverflow or Webmasters. – DA01 Oct 18 '11 at 15:53
